Why would anyone give up family, friends, and independence? The St. Mary Sisters do just that for a good so much greater - Christ, Himself! As a consecrated religious, the Sisters give themselves entirely to Christ, living with one goal - getting to Heaven and bringing as many individuals with them as possible. Come spend time with the Sisters and find out for yourself what it means to live intentionally for Christ. He is worth the sacrifice.

We freely choose to be co-responsible for each other and live together according to the Rule of St. Augustine and Constitutions of the St. Mary Sisters.  We do not prioritize uniformity, but embrace a life in community that is built on charity, which is the goal of and the reason for our external regulations. These directives have guided thousands of men and women since the monasteries were originally founded over 800 years ago. Saint Dominic de Guzman is our personal guide, our mentor, and our heavenly advocate. We embrace a life of virtue in order to grow daily in holiness. We support each other in this desire for total union with God, beginning here on earth and continuing forever in heaven. We live our life in this religious institute is united in mission, united in service, united in grace, and ultimately United in Truth.

Vibrant Community life is possible when all the members are rooted in the Trinity through regular prayer times, bonded organically by the same call, strengthened by the founder's charism, and united by common vows. Sharing everything in common requires each Sister to be responsible both for the one and for the many by intentionally serving with all of one's individual gifts, talents, and energies. This pledge to support each other in a common work of service creates a religious life that is fulfilling, appropriately rigorous, and personally motivating. The beauty of common life is found in the unity of each Sister's mind, heart, and life, which is made visible by the concrete living of a way life that has produced saints for over 800 years. Everyone who comes in contact with this life through its members and friends cannot remain unchanged.
